I had long wanted to create a visual identity dedicated to the world of tea. My starting point for Maison Thé: travel — the kind that transports, slows down time, and invites contemplation.
This identity is rooted in a timeless imaginary, a place almost outside reality where one comes to savor flavors from afar. I sought to visually translate this sense of escape through a patinated color palette, rich textures, and subtle imperfections, as if shaped by time and long journeys.
The inspiration draws from the age of great explorations, when caravels crossed the seas to bring back rare and precious herbs. This historical dimension feeds the brand narrative, grounding the product in a sense of quest, rarity, and ritual. Tea is no longer just a beverage; it becomes an experience, a moment set apart.

From a strategic perspective, this approach positions the brand within a distinctive territory, at the intersection of travel, heritage, and sensory experience. It creates a deliberate distance from the often clean, minimalist codes of the category, offering instead a more embodied, narrative identity capable of sparking imagination and emotional connection.
The intended emotion is that of a soft, intimate, almost secret refuge. A space where time slows down and the senses gently awaken. One can almost hear the monsoon rain tapping against the wooden boards of a veranda, as aromas slowly infuse the warm air.
This visual identity tells a story — that of a still journey, a quiet escape from the noise, where each cup becomes an invitation to explore differently.
